Guests can be accommodated in either the Day Stay, Short term Stay – 23 Hour Care, the overnight private rooms or in the Intensive Care/High Dependency Unit.
Weststate Private will have long term service agreements with pathology, radiology, pharmacy and rehabilitation service providers. The procurement model for services and products is a partnership based model, that supports the E³.

Our theatres will be equipped by leading local and global suppliers to the health services industry. Under the licences to build and operate we have to follow clinical guidelines for different procedures performed and services provided. Depending on the nature of the service these clinical service guidelines set the level of compliance we have to maintain.
The team is establishing a model of care that will provide for the highest standard of quality and guest (patient) satisfaction. This model of care will be fully compliant with the AS-NZS4187 CSSD standards.
Weststate has established a relationship with ORIQL (Orthopaedic Research Institute Queensland), a non-profit, registered charity conducting clinical & scientific research in the fields of Orthopaedic Surgery & Musculoskeletal Medicine. ORIQL provides a conduit for pre-vocational orthopaedic trainees to conduct clinical research and offers arthroplasty & sports medicine fellowships, and will relocate to the facility. Our collaboration with ORIQL is important as we establish a relationship to ensure that we become a leader in Orthopaedic Surgery.
We are establishing relationships with other educational institutions like James Cook University to ensure that research and learning form a key focus of the hospital’s ongoing growth and development. We have engaged with the Deans of various faculties at James Cook University in both Townsville and Cairns. Our partnership with them would extend beyond research to teaching and creating opportunities for students to gain experience at our hospital.
